Welcome to Sweet Roots Apparel! I’m Martha Trejo, and I’m so excited to share the story of how our boutique came to life. Believe it or not, Sweet Roots started as a complete accident, but it has grown into something I never imagined, and I’m so grateful for the journey so far.
when I bought a T-shirt machine to make a shirt for my sister. I posted a picture of it on Facebook, thinking I was sending it to her privately, but I accidentally posted it publicly. To my surprise, people loved it and started asking me if I could make custom shirts for them. What started out as a simple mistake quickly turned into something so much bigger.
Soon, I began making more custom shirts and eventually started styling them with different bottoms. My customers kept asking me, "When are you going to start selling full outfits?" And that’s how Sweet Roots Apparel turned from a small T-shirt business into the boutique it is today.
Sweet Roots Apparel is inspired by my family’s roots in farming. My husband and I run a farm called Sweet Roots Family Farms, and we live in the City of the Winter Strawberry.
The name "Sweet Roots" comes from our farm, where we plant strawberry roots and nurture them until they grow into something sweet.
I wanted to bring that same idea of nurturing and growth into the boutique.
At Sweet Roots Apparel, we believe in inclusivity and making every woman feel beautiful, no matter her size or background. We carry sizes ranging from extra small to 3X and focus on finding brands that are loyal to being inclusive. Whether you’re shopping for an outfit for a country concert or a special event, we want you to leave feeling confident and comfortable.
Our boutique has a little bit of a country vibe, but it’s also classy and elegant—just like the women who shop with us. And while we’re based in a small town, we cater to a wide range of women, from high school girls to mature women in their 60s. We believe that everyone deserves to look and feel their best, and we’re here to make that happen.
